New in Oklahoma Header

So in the last month, I have been able to take part and help grow a business. I have now officially become the video editor of NewinOklahoma.com. The website and initiative for the local Oklahoma City area is a wonderful cause and experience. The idea is to get the new people or really anyone in the OKC area, to be involved in the community by visiting local business with the incentive of getting to know the business and it’s owners. In exchange for your time of coming to visit, each business has a gift they would like to personally give you; whether it is a free entry or appetizer at a local restaurant or a mini car detail at a local dealership – there are literally $100′s of dollars worth of incentives! Take a look at their intro video and then sign up at the website to start receiving your gifts!

So my borther-in-law asked me to create a graphic for his sermon series in January called Canvas. He had an image he wanted to use as the background and wanted me to do some 3D text incorporated with the background. After a little bit of thinking, I came up with the idea to have paint dripping on the text; but I faced a problem, I didn’t know how to do that. I thought I could do it in just Cinema 4D, but turns out you can’t. I then realized I needed RealFlow from NextLimit. I downloaded a demo and started working on it. I had no idea where to start but started searching for tutorials online on how to make paint/liquid/mesh in RealFlow. I finally found two that I used and combined together and got me where I kinda wanted it to be. I wanted the paint to be thinner than my final piece, but this will work for what it is. Anyway, I then made the graphic in Cinema and textured, lit, rendered, and exported. I then took it into Photoshop and started playing with colors and the “depth of field”.
Once I finished and got a product I liked, I took it into After Effects and started making a little almost animation with it (he requested movement). I set up a camera, further adjusted the look of the piece and animated a ‘wiggle’ on the orientation of the camera. All said and done, you get the final piece:

So we all know that networking is everything, especially in this day and age with social media, computers, smartphones, and tablets. So in keeping with that idea and understanding that to get somewhere you have to be connected, I have a question. Could you help me promote my website by posting a badge to your website or blog that links back to my page? I will be doing the same with your page or blog if you would like. Basically, just copy and paste the code I have provided:

So on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 my wife and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary. We celebrated by going to the movie and seeing Hotel Transylvania (great movie) and eating dinner at one of our favorite restaurants – Raising Cains. The next day we both took off from work and slept in; Sarrah cooked me breakfast and we then got ready to go out. We went and bought a pumpkin and carving tools and then went to get Frostys and french fries from Wendy’s (we had that on our first date). We then went and got a movie from RedBox and watched the movie while we carved the pumpkin. We later ordered Chili’s and picked up and ate it while watching 007 Casino Royal at home. Great anniversary overall!

I will say, that in my short 27 years on this earth, I can truthfully say, that I have only made two decisions that have turned out to be the best things I could have ever hoped for. That first decision was the day I accepted my Lord, Jesus Christ, into my life. My life has never been the same since. The second is the day I got the courage to ask my wife to marry me. I was so scared and so unsure of what she would say (I had a history of getting scared and breaking up with her), but through only what I can call God’s guidance and love for a broken, confused, and scared man she emphatically said yes – 5 months later we got married and I haven’t looked back since!

p.s.
To my darling sweet Mia,
I love you with every inch of my being. I am so glad that God brought us together and that you never lost hope or gave up on me, even when I was being stupid and childish! You are my rock and my soul and I don’t know where I would be without you! You are the always to my forever and will be until our dying day! I love you mi amor!

So this past weekend my wife and I got to go on a fishing trip with my parents and my and aunt and uncle to Lake Texoma. My aunt and uncle [Bill & Joanie Moore] own a “dock-u-minium” right on the lake. It is a small one room “apartment” with a kitchen and a bathroom. The cool thing, this “apartment” is part of the dock where they dock their boats. So you walk out the front door and you are staring the boat slip in the face 8 feet from you. All I can say is it was great to be that close to the water.

The next morning we woke up at 5:00am and headed to the marina where we ate breakfast [really good country breakfast] and met our fishing guide for the day, we were going out to catch striper bass. There were six of us in the boat headed out [7 plus our guide Chris Caldwell]; according to lake policy – the limit of striper per person is 10 so that was our goal. Chris knew exactly where to take us and within the first 5 minutes we had 10 striper in the boat. I personally caught one within in 10 seconds of dropping my line in the water. We continued like this for a little bit with Chris taking us to different locations on the lake when the fish got sparse. About 11:30am we finally had caught our last fish we could legally keep [60 total] and headed back to the marina. When we got back, we took all the fish and Chris then set them up for us to take pictures with and he then proceeded to clean all 60. To say he was a master would be an understatement – I think he finished all 60 in a matter of 15 minutes.

The trip was to say, the best my wife and I have had in a long time. Spending time with family – laughing – playing cards and dice I honestly don’t think there is anything better!

So this past weekend, my wife and I ran in the Dirty 30 Zombie Edition 5k. I have to say, I have never ran a 5k before, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Despite the fact we were running through mud pits, running away from zombies, and it was 45 degrees outside – it is definitely something I would do again. I don’t claim to be in the best physical shape, and training for the 5k I ran on flat surfaces (the Dirty 30 was all terrain hills and valleys) I think I did ok finishing in 48 minutes. I was more proud of the fact that I survived with at least one flag left (the zombies tried to “kill you” by taking three flag football flags). I would recommend anyone, no matter your age or your physical ability, to run a 5k at least once in your life! If not for anything than to say you did it! If you want more information about the Dirty 30 (they have a regular one with no zombies) check out their website. Mi Amor Productions is working hard on bringing you a new experience with their website. Hold tight and everything will be back up and where it needs to be shortly.
